Mechanical Design Lead

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Lead to manage i4PD’s mechanical design team. As Mechanical Design Lead, you will Lead a team with the responsibility to design and develop mechanical systems for customer projects across a wide range of industries.

You will also be responsible for delivering technical work which meets the high standards expected to ensure i4PD’s standing in the development community, as well as complying with i4PD’s internal Quality Management System (QMS).

Alongside the estimation of new projects, you will also play a support role in new business development activities that help to elevate, promote, and endorse the mechanical capability of i4PD.

Your expertise will also be employed to conduct technical reviews and provide training for more junior members of the mechanical team, conduct yearly appraisals, set team strategy and oversee key projects.

Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with at least 3 years' industry experience to join our team for a minimum 12 month contract. You will thrive being in a fast-paced environment that requires proactive people who are comfortable acting on their initiative. At a minimum you must have:

  • Degree level qualification in Electronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Able to demonstrate 3 years’ worth of relevant industry experience
  • Expertise in embedded software system design
  • Good skills in Embedded C and/or C++
  • Experience with microcontrollers e.g. ARM, MSP430, PIC etc
  • Working knowledge of operating systems (RTOS / Linux / Windows)
  • Strong reviewing rigour
  • Testing / Debugging / Troubleshooting of designs
  • Good understanding of Software Lifecycles and development methodologies

Senior Electronics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer who can design and develop electronic systems for customer projects across a wide range of industries.

You will be responsible for delivering technical work which meets the high standards expected to ensure i4PD’s standing in the development community, as well as complying with i4PD’s internal Quality Management System (QMS).

small and large businesses alike a competitive edge by bringing new or improved products to market. The company employs creative designers and experienced engineers who operate out of i4pd’s studio on the south side of Edinburgh.
